Tips For Taking A Better Photograph

Keep your photograph simple. You only need one interesting subject. Don't worry if the majority of your photo is filled with empty space since that will only make your subject stand out more.

Take pictures from many different angles. Some of the best photographs are the ones where  someone found a different angle to look at a subject and made in more interesting. Take a picture from high up or down low or get in really close to your subject.

The “Rule of Thirds” is on of the most well known rules for composing a photograph. Using this will help you have a more well balanced and interesting picture. Imagine breaking an image into thirds with horizontal and vertical lines. With this in mind, you would want to try to place your subject in one of the 4 intersecting points. The theory is if you put your subject there it will make your photo more well balanced and draw the viewers eye in.

Changing A Series Of Photos and Creating a Collage

Using our PicsArt application, please use the photos you took from your scavenger hunt and we will use the Effect (FX) section in our application to change at least 12 of your photos. Be creative, there are many different filters that can change the look of your photographs. Save each picture to your camera roll once you have changed it.

Please save the following black picture to your camera roll. Now go to the editor section of the app and go to text. Choose a font and write Girl Scouts Scavenger Hunt 2016 and save it.

Now we will use these photos and create a collage. Go to the collage section in of the app. Choose Grid, then Landscape, and choose the last square at the bottom of the roll. It has one larger square in the middle and 12 smaller squares around it. Please add your 12 pictures to the outside of square.  Now add the black photo we wrote on in the middle and save it. You are done!

Girl Scout Photo Editing

These are some pictures to use for editing. Please save the pictures and we will see what we can correct or change.

We will go to Tools and Adjust to make changes to this picture.

We are going to go to Effect FX, Colors and then Color Replace to make changes to these photos.

Adding Clipart to your photo.

Adding clipart to your photo can be fun. We are going to try this by taking a photo of a friend sitting across from you. Please leave some room at the top and sides of the photo so you have room to add elements. Once you have taken the photo, select it in PicsArt, choose Edit, and then choose Clipart. There are many free selections in this section. I used art from Accessories and Travel on Isabelle's picture. You can resize your selection by dragging the arrows and turn it by holding down the circular arrows.

Adding a photo to a photo.

Adding a photo to a photo can be fun. You can add your friend to a photo she wasn't there for, or add fun elements from other photos to your pictures. You can even make your son become Thomas!
You can do this through PicsArt by selecting your main picture. Then click add photo to the picture and resize it to create the look you would like. Then save and you are done!
